Volatile action to start the week

Corn and soybeans posted big gains last week adding 30.5 and 29.5 cents respectively. The bulls were in charge after the neutral WASDE was followed by Conabs big cut to Brazilian soybean production and the weather is called dry for the short term in the stressed areas. The grains came out hot on Sunday night but have gone negative in the middle of the early morning hours. There is a lot of back-and-forth rhetoric on the Russia/Ukraine situation and it caused a bit of a rally in corn and wheat late Friday on rumors of an imminent move but both markets have backed off overnight. This situation will ebb and flow for who knows how long. Just be ready for another volatile week. Watching 15.44 for march soybeans and 6.35 for March corn. NFC Grain Comments 2.14.22 (1)
