Softer trade to start the week

Corn and soybeans were lower to start the week. Some weekend showers for the dry areas in South America and a disappointing inspection number for soybeans were the main drivers. There was more selling overnight but they are working back toward unchanged. AgRural estimates Brazil soybean planting at 96% completed well above the 5 year average. They did stipulate that there will be some replanting in the very dry southern areas but will have more effect on corn than soybean production in Brazil. Argentina is a different story.
