EU Farm Protests Spread

Frustrated by EU policies, Polish farmers are escalating their protests. Roughly 70,000 farmers have gathered to protest around the country, blocking roads in protest against EU environmental regulations and competition from tariff-free Ukrainian imports. The farmers are demanding quotas on these imports based on levels before the war in Ukraine, and they also want adjustments to the EU’s Green Deal.
