Missile strikes last night but muted reaction

Corn and wheat were higher overnight as Russia hit Odessa with fresh missile strikes but by the morning pause, they were both trading near unchanged. The markets seem tired of the headlines for now, but we will see how traders want to be positioned for the weekend. We would be surprised if they wanted to be aggressively short with many wild cards out there. The Midwest heat will peak in the next two days then will normalize. The real question is whether we will see increased rainfall as the calendar turns to August. Export sales look to be in line with expectations so we will not see much support out of those numbers. For today, we will use 5.38 and 14.05 for support and 5.62 & 14.40 for resistance. NFC Grain Comments Options -7.27.23
