Grains Firm Pre-Report

Corn and soybeans were firmer in the overnight session despite some wide spread
rains across the growing areas. The forecast was well publicized so no surprise the
rain came but some producers were disappointed. Today we are looking for more
trimming of the Brazil corn crop from the current 98.50 as some private estimates
are in the mid 80’s. There probably isn’t enough data for them to move yield
numbers lower as there is still plenty of potential for much of the crop here in early
July.
