Corn and soybeans slightly higher overnight

Corn and soybeans finished nearly unchanged yesterday, but both were a little higher overnight. We will see if they can hold these gains in the day session. Export sales for corn and soybeans were disappointing last week but wheat sales surprised at 533K MT vs 266K MT. The USD index has bounced back a little from yesterday’s break but is still over 1.50 lower on the week. Crude oil is higher overnight as well. We have gotten well past the halfway point of harvest, and we didn’t really get much harvest pressure on prices so the downside may be limited for the short term unless we see some cuts to usage. We did see some rain this week in the Midwest, but the drought areas continue to expand. For today, we are still watching 6.77 & 13.75 for support and 6.92 & 14.19 as resistance.
