Cattle Market Gains

Live cattle and feeder cattle futures saw significant gains on Monday. Live cattle prices increased by $1.75 to $2.80, while feeder cattle futures surged by $3.65 to $3.87.
The CME Feeder Cattle Index also rose by $1.68 to $252.88, reflecting the overall upward trend in the market.

USDA’s Wholesale Boxed Beef prices showed mixed results, with Choice cuts increasing by 67 cents and Select cuts decreasing by 10 cents.

The daily FI slaughter was estimated at 121,000 head, slightly higher than the previous week but lower than the same time last year. Overall, the cattle market showed bullish momentum on Monday, with solid gains in live and feeder cattle futures.
